That card is bad and you should feel bad for playing it.
Cards that are expensive. Probably won't see much casual play, because you could have a 5-year supply of boardgames for a singleton copy.
This particular card's art, though, I find eye-rending. There's something about the direction of the individual candle holders that implies a direction (making it more antler-esque than like a menorah), but the shadow implies that it's a straight line (like a menorah).

The problem with Desolation Giant, and it's buddy Desolation Angel is that the unkicked version is basically unplayable. Giant a bit less so, since you could play it on a board with no other creatures for a slightly overpriced Hill Giant.
That said, a 6cmc board wipe that leaves a creature behind for you is a viable card, and this one is unconditional, unlike Kirtar's Wrath or Descend upon the Sinful. Just watch out for offensive flickering from your opponent.

Tymaret's one of my fave cards in the new set <3 have already had him in play at the same time as Tombstone Stairwell and I cackled the whole time. I also picked him up twice with Skull of Orm because he loves to be chosen from death so much

glad they reprinted this in modern horizons. One of the more fair storm cards.

I want to think this card was a blowout in limited, but probably not more than any other combat trick.
This could be acceptable in a turbo fog deck, or as a sideboard against creature-based mirrors, but it's otherwise pretty unremarkable.

Hmm, well, Turbofog would essentially never play a 4-power creature. Alt wins are where it's at with that.
Could do something in casual midrange decks though.

Psst, check the second page of Custom Card Contests & Games! Because of the daily contests, a lot of games fall down to there.

This card always felt weird to me. Vampires, especially in Zendikar block, were positioned as an aggro tribe with Bloodghast, Kalastria Highborne, etc. Almost all the vampires are low to the ground mana-wise, and support aggro strategies in the form of direct damage, removal, or bonuses when players are at 10 life (which, naturally, you'd want to get them there as soon as possible).
Then this card is in the same set. The more you try and damage your opponent, the fewer dividends it pays, and it requires you to tap an aggressive creature to kick. I get that this card typically sets a player to 10 to enable Guul Draz Vampire, and Vampire Lacerator, but... 6 feels way too late for it.
Anyway, you can one shot a player with Defiant Bloodlord, which is pretty cute.

It's hard to justify this chap over something like Mindshrieker. Sure, they're different cards, but, 4+4 mana to scry 1 is just... inefficient.

I'm glad wotc stopped printing cards like Anarchy. These are brutal against certain decks.
