Kresh the Bloodbraided was my original Jund Commander, I was gifted him by a friend who knew my pet peeve was slow play and so the deck was designed around killing players by having a big guy and Fling him at slow players. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get the deck to work. I heard about Jund Lands in the C18 and was excited; I was disappointed with the slim pickings so I made my own 'Lands Matter' deck with Vaevictis Asmadi. Instead of getting Swole, I made things dire for my foes.
Get Dire

Commander - 1

Planeswalker - 1

Sorcery - 2

Basic Lands - 15

The change between Sally's fall and this site's announcement:
Changes 07/08/19
Approximate Total Cost:

Citadel is easier to cast and does what the deck wants far more than It That Betrays which feels like a winmore.

The Talisman is strictly superior to the Signet.

First real change at my new home:
Changes 08/27/19
Approximate Total Cost:

Attrition has been lacking for a while now; if I wanted to snipe a Creature Asmadi could do it. I just couldn't think of something to put in its place. Well, casting Asmadi is half of the battle and when I saw Dockside Extortionist, I realized how much Ramp he could provide to cast my Dragon.

Chandra, I think, is worse than Theater but Theater makes me stupid and greedy. Instead of trying to win, I find ways to unlock all of the cards squirrelled away underneath it. This is a draw for draw swap.

The deck craves a fast start (hell, what deck doesn't?), so this change felt appropriate:

The deck was pretty bloated, sluggish. I realized that I only started using it in more competitive games, so I need to slim down my curve:
Armasaur was an unreliable source of draw, the Bestiary gives me a Scry and with extra mana draws me cards.

Titania was to protect myself with big bodies, but I realized I didn't really close out a game with her. Asmadi has been getting targeted more and more. I want a pay to protect him.

Packleader is supposed to draw me cards, but he's pretty costly considering this deck wants to jump right out of the gates to snipe opposing permanents. Journey to Eternity returns as a way to enchant an early throwaway Creature to get a really good nonbasic. This deck has a lot of activated abilities on other people's turns, why not increase that with a flipped Journey?

Dragonlair Spider is supposed to be a deterrent; unfortunately, it's hard difficult to cast as the deck doesn't have much Red. I've put the Poison-Tip Archer in its place. The Deathtouch and Reach will deter flying Creatures from coming in, but the main ability I am looking at is causing my opponents to lose so much life when their Creatures die.

Throne was supposed to be a way to generate some extra draw with excess mana, especially if it is out of turn due to Seedborn Muse or Wilderness Reclamation. It never went down that way. A better use of this slot is to get my Dragon a headstart with Haste.

I've tuned this deck to the point of being a pubstomper; it beats newbies but loses to anyone who has half a brain. I don't think I can make this theme work powered down, so I'm retiring Asmadi.
