This is a placeholder thread. If you are interested in taking over the thread and/or writing a primer, PM the moderator team.
This is the thread to discuss the Eldrazi Tron strategy in Modern. Eldrazi Tron was a breakout strategy after the nightmare of Eldrazi Winter. Once Eye of Ugin ate the banhammer, Eldrazi pilots were forced to go in different directions. The Urzatron powerhouse proved a potent combination with the remaining Eldrazi land, Eldrazi Temple. The deck saw fringe play in most of 2016 until 2017's printing of Walking Ballista, which led to a resurgence of E-Tron in the metagame. Today, the deck remains a powerful choice with the advent of Karn, the Great Creator and contextual power of Chalice of the Void. If you want to combine the prison elements of big mana artifact decks with a fast, beatdown option off Eldrazi beefcakes, E-Tron is the deck for you. Here's a representative list from a recent 2019 MTGO Challenge:

Approximate Total Cost:

Where do you see Eldrazi Tron going from here? What new technology will the big mana/prison/beatdown hybrid adopt next? Jump into the discussion to discuss where our Eldrazi Overlords and their new Karnfather will conquer in the future.
