Here's the general outline of what I'd like to see from a Legacy primer:

1) Decklist(s). This should include the primer-writer's preferred decklist as well as a couple of decklists from major events. Ideally these should cover any significant sub-archetype variants. E.g. for Eldrazi Stompy, there should be at least one straight aggro list and at least one "Big"/Cloudpost list.

2) Card choices. This should list the core cards common to all of the builds as well as the flex slot options and subvariant packages for the alternate lists.
i.e. for Eldrazi Stompy again
Core Cards
2-3 Eye of Ugin
2-4 Reality Smasher
2-4 Matter Reshaper
etc
Approximate Total Cost:

Post Eldrazi
3-4 Walking Ballista
3-4 Endbringer
1-3 All is Dust
Approximate Total Cost:

Aggro Eldrazi
3-4 Wasteland
1-2 Umezawa's Jitte
Approximate Total Cost:

3) Brief history (optional but encouraged), overall play guide

4) Match-Ups and Sideboarding guide. Should cover at minimum the Decks to Beat.
Matchup analysis should call out the best and worst cards in the deck against the other deck, as well as the key cards in the opposing deck. Sideboard guide should indicate the best cards to sideboard for that matchup.

Additional thought: We should also probably include cards that don't quite make the cut and why so that new players aren't like (example) "but what about Quietus Spike in D&T?" or something like that.
