That's an interesting Fog variant. I like it.

T'is nice. So many years of player reinforcement of "lands, buffs, combat, summons in that order" that this card'll mess with, too

Ghired won't be able to get off the ground.

Be since it ends the combat phase the damage phase will never happen

I mean almost every fog counters craterhoof win but sure.

Seems like kind of a narrow card to me. I wish it didn't have that timing restriction and could be played as silence. Maybe I'll warm up to it later.

Strictly worse? Not in the slightest, that's not what strictly worse means. (For one thing, if ending a phase works like ending a turn, and I think it logically should, doing so exiles spells and abilities. For another, any creatures that attacked when the phase is ended will definitely remain tapped.)
Psst, check the second page of Custom Card Contests & Games! Because of the daily contests, a lot of games fall down to there.

An excellent Sunforger toolbox card at the very least, and just when I'm looking to build RW again.

Holy Day of the Infinite Silence seems pretty interesting.

This looks both hilarious and flexible. Fog when you want a panic button, Silence when you want to combo (in your second main phase, at least). Also does an interesting Time Stop impression - it can counter any spells or abilities your opponents may have during combat, such as an Etali, Primal Storm trigger (which an actual Fog does little against).

It is interesting to compare to Orim's Chant though. Stopping all opponents from casting spells (instead of just target opponent) makes it a bit better, and being able to press the panic button after attacks have been declared (instead of before) makes it much easier to use. However, the fact that I so rarely see Chant played makes me unsure whether a fancier version will be playable.

Any W/x deck that likes Fogs will want to upgrade to this. Half the time it's just a Holy Day for one more, which is meh, but the upside is real. In order of relevance.

- The standard shape of playing is to play most cards post-combat, and so for "good" players this punishes them heavily with a Silence grafted onto your Fog. Depending on the game this can be a huuuuuge blowout.

- This can stop a lot of triggers, like Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder, Narset, Enlightened Master, Ghired, Conclave Outcast, Alesha, Who Smiles at Death, the titans, Bear Umbra, Dreadhorde Arcanist, the Fate Reforged Dragon-Lords like Dromoka, the Eternal, and many more. Often these triggers are more dangerous than any combat damage dealt, and so being able to block them is huge!

- This can't be blocked by Everlasting Torment, unlike most fogs.

Also notably, unlike Orim's Chant this can be used for full value off of Sunforger and can be cast at the opportune moment, after an opponent has declared their attack, hopefully leaving the opponent shields down and ready to get cracked back on.
