Seeing the name and expecting an enchantment but then getting an actual Sponge creature is a beautiful thing.
Psst, check the second page of Custom Card Contests & Games! Because of the daily contests, a lot of games fall down to there.

Important Facts: Colorless is not a color, Wastes is not a land type, Changeling is not a creature type

A card I want at last. Unfortunately won't survive whelming wave, but does expand my suite of sea creatures. I'll need to see how to work this into my decks.

It's like Toothy, Imaginary Friend and Notion Thief had a baby! It's no Notion Thief but it's got some nice perks nonetheless.

The Good:
- Can be huge!
- Can be grown over time - natural fit into Proliferate builds featuring Roalesk, Atraxa, etc. .
- Can draw a ton of cards in the right deck.

The Bad:
- "Dies" trigger for draw means it can get hosed by bounce, exile, transform, and tuck effects (which are ubiquitous in the meta).
- Weird place where it is bad against "fair" decks (where it'll just be a 3/3 that draws 2 on death) but too slow and easily answered versus the kind of unfair decks where it seems like it'd get to wreck house as a 10/10 for 3U.

Looks very interesting. Worst case scenario, you get Youthful Scholar with flash, which isn't great, but not unplayable either - you can block and cash it in for cards immediately. Expected case of waiting for an opponent to cast a Harmonize or other draw spell results in a pretty powerful card. And in the best-case scenario, where you're able to throw more counters on it / proliferate / otherwise increase its power, then it becomes pretty absurd.

So.... medium floor, high ceiling, high variance. Seems fun.

Also: Sponge voltron sounds hilarious. Throw on a Colossus Hammer and beat down with the biggest sponge ever.

Needs a sac outlet in case of Evacuation, Whelming Wave, etc. Could be fun with the usual cards, or just with Prosperity.
Thanks to Feyd_Ruin for the avatar!
