about one of the leaked cards:

The common white creature is probably numbered over 274 because it's a PW deck exclusive and not in the main set, as M21 still has 5 PW decks confirmed

That would mean PW deck cards can get the booster fun treatment, which is not something we have seen to this point. I'm not saying that it can't happening, it just has not happened yet. Furthermore, I'm not able to find anything in the leaking Reddit thread that indicates it is a PW deck exclusive, just something speculating that it could be. If you have confirmation of it being a PW deck exclusive I would like to know and will update the number accordingly

Regading the leaked "extended art" mythic black card

It looks peculiar to me that the leaked version of Massacre Wurm is more similar to an alternate-art planeswalker than an extended art mythic. (it has alternate art and is borderless like the box toppers from Double Masters instead of the extended art treatment we saw till now)
I wonder if they are mixing up the collectors boosters contents a bit
I highly doubt they are going to give every rare and mythic card the alternate-art + borderless treatment

Interesting you point that out as the leaked Ugin card's number indicates that it falls into the Showcase Frame section, not the Full Art Walker section

Furthermore, I'm not able to find anything in the leaking Reddit thread that indicates it is a PW deck exclusive, just something speculating that it could be. If you have confirmation of it being a PW deck exclusive I would like to know and will update the number accordingly
nothing in particular, it was just an idea, but your theory makes sense

Regading the leaked "extended art" mythic black card
SPOILER
Show
Hide
It looks peculiar to me that the leaked version of Massacre Wurm is more similar to an alternate-art planeswalker than an extended art mythic. (it has alternate art and is borderless like the box toppers from Double Masters instead of the extended art treatment we saw till now)
I wonder if they are mixing up the collectors boosters contents a bit
I highly doubt they are going to give every rare and mythic card the alternate-art + borderless treatment
the mutate showcase in Ikoria had different treatment tied to rarity (C and UC still had the regular black border while R as Gemrazer was fullart

True, hadn't noticed that, to be honest.
This implies that if number 316 is still a showcase black card and not an extended art, the numeration of the various Booster Fun cards is once again unique for this set and WotC hasen't settled on a standardization yet.
Ikoria stopped their showcase cards at 315 with the last one being a land and had a total of 35 showcases.
Theros only had 11 showcases and was heavy on extended arts with black extended arts going from 311 to 317, right where the leaked card seems to fall into.

EDIT:
So, watched some parts of the insufferable spoilers video from WotC without audio and turns out the showcase frames are based on the planeswalkers (so planeswalker and probably 2 or 3 cards each) then the planeswalkers themselves have the full-alternate-art treatment and so do the other mythic cards?
That's a nice shakeup.
Now I'm curious in seeing the alternate art for the Baneslayer Angel.

Have updated the main post to no longer be in spoiler tags. Will work over the course of the day to get the proper tags linked, along with updates for any new cards. Suffice to say, this is one of the more interesting core sets in terms of cards

(also, as a mill player, it brings me much joy to finally see it keyworded)

Whelp, containment priest got the alternate-art treatment instead of baneslayer.
A little disappointed, but my wallet feels much relieved.

and the reveal of the PW-centric showcase frames confirms that Basri's Acolyte is the common in the set for the vertical cycle

Liliana showcase is number 297 and borderless is 282 as per: https://scryfall.com/card/m21/297/lilia ... f-the-dead

and we know Garruk is the 5th PW in the set (they showed just the art sketch)

A small correction. 198 is Quirion Dryad and not quirion druid.
Then the rest of Teferi's showcases are Teferi's Protege, Teferi's Tutelage and Teferi's Ageless Insight in case you missed them.

Thanks for catching the error. I was holding off on adding the other Teferi cards until their showcase versions were revealed, but no harm in adding them.

Looking at the Mythics, we have 5 left. Blue and Red will each get one more, while green needs its walker (Garruk) and its other mono mythic. That leaves one unaccounted for.
Options:
  • Blue, Red, or Green gets a third mono mythic
  • Second artifact mythic
  • Multi-color mythic using some combination of blue, red, and green
thoughts?

Just a heads up, I'll be unable to update this until later in the day. I'm going to be away from a computer most of the day. Will get it updated when I'm able with the reveals from the day

Seems like nobody mentioned it yet, 275-277 are standard-frame variations of Teferi.

Hmmm. 12 mythic rates:.
We know:
1 colorless
3 White
1 Blue
1 Red
3 Black
2 Green (assuming Garruk and including Elder Gargorith)
1 artifact

This leaves 3 more. I'm guessing each color gets at least 2 mythics. This leaves one more red and one more blue. The last mythic I think could be anything. I can see blue red or green getting a third mythic or even a multicolor or another artifact.

Gainland Time!
242 - Bloodfell Caves
243 - Blossoming Sands
244 - Dismal Backwater
245 - Evolving Wilds
246 - Fabled Passage
247 - Jungle Hollow
248 - Radiant Fountain
249 - Rugged Highlands
250 - Scoured Barrens
251 - Swiftwater Cliffs
252 - Temple of Epiphany
253 - emple of Malady
254 - Temple of Mystery
255 - Temple of Silence
256 - Temple of Triumph
257 - Thornwood Falls
258 - Tranquil Cove
259 - Wind-Scarred Crag
I can see them dropping the Wilds because of the Passage, but besides that I'd say theres an approximately 98% odds we'll see those guys again. Doesn't speak of their creativity, but hey I guess reinventing the wheel isn't really necessary either.

I don't think this will happen. Given the numbering of the extended art versions of the Temples, there is the potential for another rare land after Temple of Triumph. Now, that easily could fall to some other promo card, but it is worth noting none the less.
Ignore this for I have made a dumb, only realized after posting. I had the counts wrong (392 was listed twice). So you're likely right

I'm going to guess 225 is an artifact and not a multi. My reasoning. This would give us 10 multis at uncommon and complete a cycle. Of course I can be wrong (and we end up with a mythic rare multicolor in the set or something similar). Just a wild guess. We only got 2 mythic rares left for reveal and I feel it's likely both are monocolored or we get one artifact and one moncolored (we yet to see the second blue mythic).

The last full art borderless showcase is either another green, or a multicolor. If I were to guess, I'd have said it's the multicolor mythic, actually as it would also fix the color distribution of mythics, which is really skewed right now.

You're probably right. Blue should get a second mythic, which would leave one remaining. It could be a multi-color mythic, but I'd guess it would be an artifact (or possibly a land [which would be interesting in and of itself])

Actually, looking at the number crunch again Wilds are crunched out (under the assumption that we will see a 10-dual-land cycle at common/uncommon, which is a near certainty). There is another rare that comes after Tormod's Crypt, as evidenced by the yet-revealed showcase at 385. So we'll either have another rare artifact that goes after To or another rare land.

Barrin is getting a new card so probably that other blue mythic

Same can be said for kaervek probably the multicolor one in rakdos colors (weird since he would be crunched out in multicolor) so maybe mono black with activated ability with red required

there are going to be 13 multi-color cards, given Watcher of the Spheres number. Chances are one of them will be the final mythic in some combination of blue, red, and green
