Given the existing alternatives (not necessarily standard-legal, but some *cough* are) this is really innefficient mana-wise.

Yeah, that "and/or" is huge. And you can mill the rest! Or all of them!

I mean Divination was a thing. I don't know where it's a thing anymore, but this goes 4 cards deep to probably draw you 2 and fills your graveyard as well. It's a common with card advantage for limited, so it ain't terrible.

Who know it might become a Pioneer card to fuel Treasure Cruise/Dig through Time.

Yep, misread that, good thing to know before playing with it! That makes it quite better in limited. Turn 3 is about when you often play your last naturally-drawn land. And it makes the card better in the late game.
