Chill. I get it. I was just under the impression that gold was permanently gone in favor of treasure.

I'd test it in modern humans. All modes are relevant, except the last.

But it's rather odd to have both mechanically extremely similar token exist - especially considering Gold has no reminder text here. Gold was mechanically distinct from Treasure by not tapping to activate and for various reason new artifact tokens tend to tap to activate.

So this card actually leaves the question unanswered: Will new Gold tokens remain without the tap-symbol (consistent with old card wording) or will they have the tap-symbol (consistent with new artifact design in general)? While the flavor certainly justifies the choice of Gold seeing the card with that ambiguity open is certainly odd to remark on it.

Having this card as is also suggests we'll see more Gold in this set.
