I want to be the first to say
most of the rares are disappointing
there are a lot of commons and uncommons that are super sexy
im a little bummed it ended up happily ever after
there is a lot of sexy art, so much, actually to much art.
adventure is awesome, and I want more of it.

Queen of Ice looks pretty good for a common, and I'm glad the common counter spell is more than just cancel
That shadowy wisp at the edge of your vision, there and gone before you notice.

WHITE: All limited filler, as expected. More worrying is that none of it is even especially amazing limited filler, leaving me thinking White is going to have a bad time in limited outside of crazy bombs.
BLUE: Also all limited filler, but stronk limited filler - Queen of Ice is a card I'll be reluctant to let go and Charmed Sleep is Claustrophobia with less horrifying flavor which is always great. Didn't Say Please has a great name and pulls a limited mill deck together. Lots of nice cards.
BLACK: Limited filler, although again notable filler - Barrow Witches is a nice top-end for a Knight deck and raise dead effects in general are super strong in this format due to Adventure, Lash of Thorns is a little scarier in a format full of First Strike, and Tempting Witch is a weaker payoff for the food deck but still important.
RED: Fling is always welcome in Standard. Ferocity of the Wilds is a beating in limited, and the only thing holding it back from Standard relevance is the existence of so many powerful anthem effects at the 3-slot already between Domri, Anarch of Bolas, Rhythm of the Wild, and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell.
GREEN: Nothing relevant - just limited stuff.
MULTI: We'd seen it all!
ARTIFACT: Crashing Drawbridge is funny, and possibly quite powerful in limited as a way to gum up the ground and then get instant value out of your endgame threats. Arcades is sad he didn't have it for Brawl before he rotated. Shambling Suit seems a reasonable payoff in limited but probably a bit too weak and slow for Standard.
Usually something on the last day is standard-relevant or at least standard-hopeful, but not this time. Still, considering it's coming on the heels of the strongest set in recent memory it looks good!

most of the cards in this set that I'm interested in are non-creature, or have a non-creature half that's more interesting than the creature side )) oh well, at least Grumgully looks like a fun commander if I ever do the kobold deck that keeps playing on my mind...
Witches' Revenge remains an insanely cool card and the Drawbridge really rules too. interesting little set, not as powerful as Spark but different enough that it's not disappointing!
