this looks really strong against certain combo decks

they need to make staples for other formats, so more people would buy the product

Ethersworn Canonist for creature decks instead of artifact decks? This looks very interesting. At only one mana, looks like a very potent sideboard card. Rule of Law is usually used as a hate card against storm-ish decks, and this does the same thing much more efficiently. If you're running a bunch of creatures, this is likely one-sided in the relevant matchups as well.

....I sort of want to try it out alongside Possibility Storm to shut down noncreature spells entirely.
