I know I've talked about this before but I think it would be really a great tool to be able to have a deck tag like:

Code: Select all

[deck cmdr1="Ephara, God of the Polis"]https://deckbox.org/sets/665530[/deck]
And have it ingest the deck *and* maintain it, with simple default formatting and the commander(s) separated out by being listed. There's a small enough list of sites that it would probably fairly easy to maintain figuring out how to get a standard representation from them.

Deckbox almost never changes, and tappedout/mtggoldfish seem pretty stable as well, not sure about archideckt.

I expect those sites would settle for a link in the deck box to link back to the list it was sourced from in terms of cross-promotion or whatever.

The barrier to extracting a deck from another site and posting it, then downloading it and reuploading it after sorting and stuff, is just a little high for most people I think so you get a lot of folks not posting their decks, or when they do post their decks not getting much feedback because no one wants to click a link to another site to read it :P

Let me know if there's anything I can do to facilitate, I'm happy to go bug the Deckbox owner to make it easy on you :)

Let me look into this.
Deckbox is definitely doable.
The others might need a bit of finagling.

TappedOut was actually fairly straight forward after I adjust how we do things to accommodate.
Just paste the deck link:

Code: Select all

https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tergrid-what-is-yours-is-mine/
And:

https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/tergrid ... s-is-mine/

I'll get deckbox.org next.

Deckbox:

Code: Select all

https://deckbox.org/sets/665530
https://deckbox.org/sets/665530

It won't pull the deck name, but everything else is good to go :)

There's a bug in tappedout that I'll have to look at tomorrow.
It's adding the set to some cards (which makes it not parse them properly) and tapped out isn't differentiating which cards are sideboard vs mainboard.
I'll figure it out tomorrow.

Figured out and fixed.
I'll look at pulling the sideboard and displaying it as well later.

If anyone notices any other differences/bugs/etc from this, just @ me
