Well, that new two-faced template opens up some pretty crazy design space.
Here is my most modal card:

--Front Face--
Shifting Tecton 3R
Creature - Elemental
Trample
Morph 1RRR
When Shifting Tecton is turned face-up, it gets +3/-3 until end of turn.
3/4
-----
Stoneturning 1R
Instant - Adventure
Choose one-
- Discard a card, then draw a card.
- Stoneturning deals 2 damage to target creature.
--Back Face--

Stable Tecton
Land - Mountain
(T: Add R.)
Stable Tecton enters the battlefield tapped.
3RR: Until end of turn, Stable Tecton becomes a 0/0 red Elemental creature. Put a +1/+1 counter on it for each Mountain you control. It's still a land.

Too much?

Yeah, that won't really fly at all. Can't have a DFC card with morph, it causes all kinds of rules and memory issues. Not to mention the land side is kinda overpowered due to it's fetchability.

But it being a creature and an adventure on one side and a land on the other should be just fine.

Uh, what rules issues? Double-faced cards can definitely already be put onto the battlefield face-down, the rules have a specific provision for that:

"711.9. If an effect allows a player to cast a double-faced card as a face-down creature spell, or if a double-faced card enters the battlefield face down, it will have the characteristics given to it by the rule or effect that caused it to be face down. That card remains hidden, using either a face-down checklist card or opaque sleeves."

A card is only it's front face when it is in your library, so the land side definitely is not fetchable.

Good points, that's what I get for answering a topic just after getting out of bed.

Be aware that the back-face-indicator line overlaps the Adventure box.

I think, the back-side should flip to animate. : P

Gah, I thought I'd put in every transformation and form, but I forgot about Flip!
