Hi, does a golden guardian need to die from it's own fight ability for it to transform? Or will it transform for whatever reason it dies... for example I casted a day of judgment.. would the guardian transform?
Accepted Answer
There is no requirement for Golden Guardian to die to its own ability - the ability creates a delayed trigger that will occur if it dies the same turn, no matter what the cause is. It will transform if it dies from fighting, combat, removal, a board wipe, being sacrificed... or pretty much any other reason.
