Have been thinking this since last night. Path to Exile and oblivion ring are both not legal.

What are people using for white removal here in Pioneer? Need some ideas at the 2 and 3 cmc slot. thanks

The best I can see are:
That is not to say that they are all good (or, that any are good) but there aren't as many options in Pioneer for good removal in white. Black is likely where you would need to be to get the good removal options with red (with its burn) coming in second.

nice, I forgot about banishing light. Need to order a few of that scg.

The reason I asked is because needed something maindeck to get rid of stonecoil serpent. Abrupt decay and putrefy don't work against it, so my abzan deck needs banishing light or the casket.

If that is the main reason for needing a removal spell, it would seem that Fatal Push, Swift End, Cast Down, or Hero's Downfall might be better. Fatal Push and Swift End being the two big ones I would lean towards if you don't already include them. Though, I could see how Fatal Push might be too narrow, especially without fetches in the format but it does answer the card you are concerned about.

I agree that those black cards are good. Actually have a few copies too.

Well, but another reason I asked about white removals.. is because I was hoping for something that also get rid of other things. Fortunate that Oblivion Ring had a functional reprint in Banishing Light.

cast out seems likely pretty good. Expensive, but cycling and flash, pretty flexible. Not 2 -3, apologies :) But does some work being able to be played as a cantrip early.

hmm, ok thanks for that too. adding one to my scg cart, because why not? Might come in handy. :)

I still have not been able to order because scg wrecked their site with - improvements -. Truly, "don't fix what isn't broken" applies to what they recently did. The delivery options are still not completely reactivated..

Silkwrap is great vs X cc critters. And tons of other things too. I love how you got a ton of black card suggestions in the white removal thread rofl.

I am confused. You responded to a 2 week old thread to provide an answer that I already provided just to complain about the fact that I furthered the discussion after asking a follow up question?

I am not entirely sure of the point of your comment. I listed 12 white spells (with Silkwrap being one of them) in my initial answer and they aren't all very good so I provided an opinion to the specific situation at hand (getting rid of the Serpent) which was determined after a follow up question. Are you suggesting that a thread cannot go beyond the original question or title?

yeah, black cards are good answers too, but as I already mentioned. I value white cards that did something else beside creature removal, which is another reason for creation of this thread.

Anyway, scg got their USPS delivery fixed. Now able to order.

Thanks to all who made suggestions. :)

Ok I will try to be nice. She asked for the best white removal. You gave ALL white removal, and a bunch of black removal. None of that do I find helpful personally. So I answered her question. I like silkwrap and I think its currently one of the best removals in white. Could I have skipped the lulz about black cards suggested? Sure but it's annoying. I get the same crap in my UW thread and mu silkwrap thread.
