Re: Savra, Queen of Multiple Personalities
Fair enough. Here's a few options from my own sac-based decks, depending on what you want to add. Ashnod's Altar Phyrexian Altar Vampiric Rites Carnage Altar Izoni, Thousand-Eyed Quagmire Druid Whisper, Blood Liturgist I also like Perilous Forays , but you're low on basics, so I don't think it's a g...

I'm gonna say cut Attrition for Butcher. The more grave pact effects the better.

Re: New site, new deck.
Saheeli the Gifted is really, really fun.
I did a four-person game last year when the decks first came out and everyone had one of them, I ended up with Saheeli and fell in love immediately,

Re: What Makes Bad Games?
What -do- you like in Commander, then? Since you apparently dislike anything that gives one player any form of advantage in a game.
58 cards by name, several of which are banned and have been for a while, plus several entire swaths of card types. Including seemingly all X spells.

Re: Savra, Queen of Multiple Personalities
Seems an interesting toolbox-y type deck. I also have a Savra but it's all tokens, all the time. I see you've got some grave pact effects, but no Butcher of Malakir ? And speaking of grave pact, do you ever have an issue with Attrition and grave pact type effects? I never run them in the same deck b...

Re: What Makes Bad Games?
The only issues I have with Commander games are situational ones. Bad deck match-ups or bad draws where I'm limited in what I can do about the situation. It's more of a personal issue, maybe, I get a similar feeling when I play other board games. Any time where I feel that my decisions or actions ca...

Re: [Deck Tech] Help me Improve My Commander Deck!
Don't dismiss Jund too quickly. Back when Gyrus, Walking Disappointment got spoiled, I entertained the thought of a Jund reanimator that ended up as a Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire . I pretty much never cast the commander, instead "lieutenanting" the deck with a pairing of Feldon of the Thir...

Re: [Deck Tech] Help me Improve My Commander Deck!
The only reason I'm hesitant to do Hapatra is that I already have two BG decks, both with a token component and some sacrificing. Scorpion God does seem too linear, though. And I'm not sure if I want a BR deck right now. And I'm not a big fan of mono-color EDH, If I go Jund, I get all three. Plus a...

Re: [Deck Tech] Help me Improve My Commander Deck!
Okay, so here's the question that's been hanging over me for a while, ever since Modern Horizons previews started. Do I make a Yawgmoth deck, do I make a Scorpion God deck and put Yawgmoth in it, do I make a Hapatra deck and put Yawgmoth in it, or do I put all three into a Jund sac-for-value and mi...

Re: Mathas, Fiend Seeker - Politics and Judo
If your defenses and bargaining are good enough, they'll overlook Luminarch Ascension, I find. I once won a game entirely due to an unanswered bunch of angels and a timely Worst Fears. My version is derived more about manipulating the game state, highly political, can play kingmaker, but can also ba...

Re: Karador, Ghost Chieftain - Strength Through Resilancy
If it works, it works.
I only have gary in my Balthor the Defiled deck.
I actually took him out for a while, because I was winning too predictably by reanimating half my deck all at once and draining everyone for like 30 at once. But I eventually decided to slot him back in.

Re: Karador, Ghost Chieftain - Strength Through Resilancy
This is a pretty interesting build. It's a lot more based around sacrifice and recursion than straight value reanimator, I see you've also got a lot of creatures with beneficial ETBs. Pretty interesting!
Also, bold to use gary in a three-color deck.

Re: Changing your deck's power level without changing cards
I don't typically build infinite combos into decks, and when I do I try to limit the decks I have them in. Out of my current load out, only Ertai and Riku can go infinite. But Riku doesn't have just one combo in it, it has four or five, and I go off with whichever one I draw into. That keeps things ...

Re: Commander 2019 Speculation
I was theorizing with some friends and we got to this potential color breakdown. Abzan Populate Temur Morph Jeskai Flashback Rakdos Madness This is based on a few things. 1,These color combinations haven't had a deck in at least two years. 2.this spread of colors lets four colors appear twice and on...
