Re: Karador, Ghost Chieftain

Oh that does not look right, I think I typed up the decklist thing wrong...

Could anyone tell me the proper way to format it?

Re: Karador, Ghost Chieftain

I'd love to show you my list. Give me a sec to type it up. I know Survival is very pricey, but I only recently got myself a copy. I wanted one for a very long time, basically as long as I've been playing Magic, and I traded in a couple Cavern of Souls I wasn't using to get store credit, which I used...

Re: Mathas, Fiend Seeker - Politics and Judo

One thing I do really like about your list is Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts and No Mercy. I think I'll be slotting those in.

I think I'll be cutting Bitter Feud and Sower of Discord for those two.

Re: Mathas, Fiend Seeker - Politics and Judo

So I also have a Mathas that I've had for quite a while. It started out as an Oros. That's how old it is. Here's some thoughts based on my version of the deck. For example, I've found that Curses and Vows underpreform, so I've mostly cut them. I do run the white, black and red Hunted creatures, thou...

Re: Karador, Ghost Chieftain

My own Karador differs quite a bit from this, I've got less single-target removal, more board wipes and I use more land ramp instead of mana dorks. It's got a lot of high-value creatures that get cast from the graveyard or get reanimated. Entomb, Buried Alive and Survival of the Fittest fill my grav...

Re: Fall set Name revealed at SDCC

High fantasy / fairy tale world is one of my favorite themes. I hope they reprint Bitterblossom as well! Considering that Tribal is a discontinued mechanic a reprint is nearly impossible. A functional reprint may be possible, but its powerlevel may be a bit too high for standard. I can't see them d...

Simic Hybrid is a pretty fun and flavorful race, you get to pick two abilities off a list as your racial features. I got improved AC and a climb speed, my guy has been enhanced with crab and gecko.

Basically, yeah. Several of them also left backstory stuff open for me to fill in, and phyrexian oil kind of oozed into those vacancies.

Re: MtG Netflix Series Speculation.

That'd be pretty sweet, yeah. But that depends a lot on two things: 1.who they get as a voice director and 2.budget. Hasbro is one of those "more money than god" type companies, so they're probably giving us a decent budget. So what we're hoping for is a skilled voice director to find the ...

Re: Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica

This book has really made me wanna get back into DND, if anything I might just get it for the read. Is it something that I could enjoy for the read alone? It's a bunch of rules. It does have quite a few lore boxes, but it is first and foremost a bunch of rules. Are you gonna enjoy reading a bunch o...

Re: Having Your Voice Heard

I don't really know where the divide is between casual and competitive, but it seems pretty vague to me. The people in my playgroup all have a variety of decks with different power levels, Personally I've got a Riku deck that has like four different infinite combos, I've got a Vorosh deck that can o...

I love my current character in a game. He's a simic hybrid sun soul monk, flavored as weaponized bio-luminescence.

Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica

So this book is Ravnica as a campaign setting for D&D fifth edition, and it's pretty great. Not only is it full of a ton of great lore for Ravnica, lots of great pieces of art blown up to a large size, but the new gaming content for 5E is really fun, too. Has anybody read the book? Played in a R...

Chaos Draft

Okay, so, have any of you ever done a Chaos Draft? I did one at a store once and it was pretty good, and for my birthday this year I got a bunch of old packs and had one with some friends. I picked each pack for a specific reason. Usually because the set had some particular significance to me. Does ...

I like the format on paper, gonna try my hand at it in the upcoming weeks. Any suggestions for a signature spell to use with Domri, Anarch of Bolas?
Atarka's Command would be a good option.

Clan Defiance, Ground Assault or even Domri's Ambush aren't bad, either.
