thanks for the primer. Sneak and show player in paper but wanted to try this deck. Now that I decided to give renting decks a go on MTGO, I decided to try it.
is there a lot of good content on the deck on youtube or anything similar?

10-12 weeks is an absurd amount of time but probably a necessary precaution. Let's see how this impacts MTG/LGS attendance

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 01/13/2020)
I'm interested in seeing the Temur turns and superfriends lists. I know Temur Urza lists have been around for a bit now at this point. Is Humans good again now? The Temur Turns list is by that wonky quadruple sleeve Turns player, Daniel Wong. He does a lot of work for the deck. I've literally not s...

Re: MTG, the Corona-Virus Pandemic, and future events.
sit down restaurants in most of Canada have shut down, with fast food places closing their seating and only allowing take out or drive through so I understand a mall with a food court shut down. Most malls themselves reduced their hours. I'm gonna spend my free time with MTGO and my PS4. My work has...

Re: What reprints would you put in Pioneer Horizons?
Sakura tribe elder for some good mana fixing? There's no decent fetch lands in this format, so the elder would help a lot. sakura tribe elder would probably be fine in the format but it seems super hard to fit into the format without a "pioneer horizons" type set or going back to Kamigawa...

If your goal is to be on the best deck, you will ALWAYS be limited to around 3 options, and its not particularly relevant to most of us, because the meta is irrelevant unless you need to. I just want a good play experience, which means minimizing games that are overwhelmingly one-sided. Right now t...

Re: MTG, the Corona-Virus Pandemic, and future events.
I understand where they're coming from in saying that games and books "enhance people's lives while staying at home in isolation" but part of me still doesn't think that they should be considered essential services and be allowed to stay open during this pandemic. Part of me just doesn't u...

I'm a paper sneak and show player, which is sort of a poor choice right now because of Oko. I have really been considering getting mana traders or something to rent decks on MTGO and wanna try reanimator, is that deck poorly positioned because of Oko right now too?

Veil is awful. Full stop. I hope that things is banned by the end of the year. As for Astrolabe, it's hard to separate out the experimental diversity (I.e. people who are playing around with Astrolabe in different builds) from the true diversity (I.e. different viable Astrolabe decks coexisting). I...

shopping malls here are now closed. Only supermarkets and drug stores are allowed to be open. I don't know for sure about malls in my exact area but I know malls in the Greater Toronto Area greatly reduced their hours and are only open from 11am-7pm. So I expect malls in other areas to follow suit....

Jund also seems like a tier 1 deck; we all know how much this is going to last. i also expect jund players to flee into those snow piles. Why play Jund (a pile of good cards) when you can play 3-5 color piles of good cards *and Blood Moon*? Side note, COVID-19 may be causing skyrocketing MTGO price...

so the main LGS I go to posted on their facebook page today that they will be closed until further notice to protect their customers from it. It's probably gonna have a huge void for me because it's also on the way home from work for me, so I might just have to head straight home or find something e...

fact or fiction seems pretty good. Seeing your list really makes me wanna sleeve up a Grixis control list again. Grixis Control has always been one of my favourite decks in modern and Corey Burkhart is one of my favourite players. There's a lot of burn in my area so I'd probably go heavy on Kalitas...

I really like how they're adding Magic worlds to DnD. Since WotC makes both games, it feels like it's such an easy thing to do to bring in crowds of both games

after 5 months of running the poll --- it's 31 fatigued and 5 not fatigued. I guess many modern players in this forum at least.. have tired wallets. I feel that part of it could be because last year (2019) added so many new staples that are not cheap (W6, Urza, Canopy Lands etc) as well as there we...

Re: MTG, the Corona-Virus Pandemic, and future events.
Overall, I wouldn't say I'm overly worried. My only real issue is that I live in the town that is the home of the Air Force base where the Canadian government decided to send people who had been out of Canada and contracted the virus. I went to a large Face to Face Open a few weeks ago which was kin...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 01/13/2020)
I was kind of hoping that they would ban something from titan decks this b and R. Amulet was what I was hoping for but I guess OUAT is fine too, as it made it a lot easier to find pieces. I have a buddy that plays amulet that is fine with the OUAT ban for the same reason. It keeps the deck playable ...

I don't know if I agree with their decision but I can at least accept and understand it.
I didn't know it's win rate was 49% but I guess the format will have to adapt for now

I think that OuaT and astrolab are probably the first 2 cards that need to go. I've been thinking latley that I'd like to see something from the amulet deck go. Probaby not titan itself as I don't think the archetype as a whole needs to go but its gotten so obnoxious lately. They probably won't ban ...

some of those rules as posted by Fournier seem excessive IMO. Preventing people in the MPL from saying anything negative seems absurd and makes me wonder what they're trying to hide Not allowing Karsten to post deck lists is something that really bothers me and will only really prevent people from b...

I don't think I'd like to see inverter banned this time around. I'd like to see what happens if dig was banned first, as it allows the deck to exile large amounts of it graveyard, which is super relevant when it wants to have a small library for the win combo. Dig is just a massive mistake IMO too, ...

I remember when I first heard about MTG back in the mid to late 90's from reading video game magazines that I used to collect before they went out of business (Electronic Gaming Monthly, Game Fan, Game Pro, etc.). I also ended up receiving some Portal cards from way back in the day with Cloud Pirat...
