Re: Tuvasa, the Sunlit Bogles Enchantress

Your decklist section is unsorted, would be nice to see it all together. Looks like a cool deck though.

Re: Animist's Awakening

I played in it Borborygmos Enraged many years back. It could be used as a less powerful replacement for other X spells. I wouldn't consider it worthy of a slot if you are going for 100% optimized.

Re: Alela's Enchanted House of the Fae

Skullclamp or Cathars' Crusade has to be better than Archetype of Finality. Although I guess at 4-5$ they could be considered high budget. Anyway, cool deck. It looks fun and powerful.

Re: Alela's Enchanted House of the Fae

I can't claim to be an expert here but I think you might have too many anthems. If it was my deck I would add more draw or ramp in those freed up slots.

Looks like a fun deck. I like its power level and unique inclusions. I was wondering why you are running [card]Deceiver Exarch[c/]?

Re: Elsha of the Infinite - Kung-Fu Fighting with Expert Timing

I like Ghoulcaller's Bell quite a lot in this deck, nice addition. I built and played a version of Elsha one time at my local shop. It was miserable for my opponents so I took it apart. Still an awesome deck though.

Re: Gavin Verhey and Command Zone announcement video!

Maybe if they can monetize the commander player base a little better it will be good for the game. Could also backfire as one of my favorite things about the format is there are less 'must buy' products for it. I guess we will have to wait and see about release fatigue.

Re: The Ur-Dragon, 75% Dragons

toctheyounger Thanks for the reply Toc, lots of great suggestions. I was thinking last night when I was writing out the decklist that I have lots of beaters. I could probably add more tricks or interesting cards like the stuff you mentioned. I've already got some ideas for cuts an...

The Ur-Dragon, 75% Dragons

The Ur-Dragon is a pet card of mine. It was my favorite precon that year and I really like playing dragons. There are a couple of cards I need that are obvious includes that I don't have at the moment. I'm sure this deck needs some help so I'm posting it in the hope that there are some obvious inclu...

Re: Making my sliver deck more interesting

You could run Morophon, the Boundless as it is a sliver. It buffs your army and makes all your sliver spells cheaper. Another thing you could do to make it more interesting is to remove slivers and add some supporting spells. If all you can do is play one or two creatures a turn, your deck will be v...

Re: Much Ado About Arcane Signet, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Fellwar Stone

Arcane Signet is like Command Tower. Everyone likes and plays Command Tower , not every one likes and plays Exotic Orchard . Both Fellwar Stone and Exotic Orchard are playable cards, but their reliability is less than 100%. WOTC buffed these brawl decks pretty hard with shocks and Smothering Tithe ....

Re: Kenrith - Draw Go Control

When you play Survival of the Fittest all games end up being very similar. This is fine if you and your group don't mind the way it influences games. In your build Survival isn't as broken as it can be, which is nice. There is a cost paid with cards like Survival, it makes your deck get boring faste...

Re: Kenrith - Draw Go Control

This deck is fairly unique and therefore it isn't easy to make suggestions. I think, emphasis on think, Teferi, Time Raveler would be quite useful here. Teferi can be quite disruptive on its own, you have a good amount of sorcery to flash in, and a fair amount of cards you can bounce and reuse. In m...

Re: My Version of Yawgmoth

Very small update here.

Removed:
Star Compass

Added:
Arcane Signet

Arcane Signet makes the format smaller by an appreciable amount. Why would you ever play something like Star Compass or Coldsteel Heart now? Charcoal Diamond seems like a cruel joke. Anyway, this is a simple upgrade.

Re: Yawgmoth, Thran Physician - Power Through Blood and Suffering

I've been pondering Syr Konrad since you posted this. Initially I thought he was sort of low impact, but I've changed my mind there. He can trigger on so many occasions and his milling ability could be potentially useful versus certain cards in the format. I'll be interested to see how you feel abou...

Re: Commander 2019 Post Mortem

Commander 2019 is okay but the most annoying thing about it is the Throne of Eldarine brawl decks. Those commanders are all more interesting than anything in C2019. So I'm sitting here at work feeling pretty stupid for buying C2019 when now I need/want to spend another 100-200$ on decks so soon. Arc...

Thank you all for your insightful responses. They have been very helpful. It seems the term "75%" is about 3/4ths of the way defined, almost poetically. I would not hold you to account if this entire thread was to set this joke up. +1 on the responses. I like seeing other people's point o...

call them 75% decks, Meaning they are 75% of the way to an optimal build and just good enough to beat a deck built to be 100% optimal if I play tight and get lucky. By Jason Alt, Posted on February 13, 2014 Original Article " 75%" Deck building" is going to be a term that is new to a...

Re: Volrath, the Shapestealer

Why run Skullwinder ? It seems worse than almost any other recursion card. I notice you have Scheming Symmetry as well. These cards could be Eternal Witness and Vampiric Tutor but I guess that might put your deck into the 80% range. You could run Regrowth and Insidious Dreams or even Seasons Past an...
