Re: Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Zombie Horde and Shenanigans
After testing around with my updated build, I can only say that you shouldn't sleep on Snarling Gorehound . Having that thing out before you drop Sidisi can quickly escalate your boardstate. For every new Zombie token you surveil again and if you hit a creature card, just mill it away, making a new ...

Re: Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Zombie Horde and Shenanigans
I think, those two are traps. Having to exile cards for Conspiracy Unraveler is always meh, and we should have more than enough mana to cast our spells. Sludge Titan only returns the cards to our hand, which isn't much of a difference, as the graveyard is just an extension of our hand in this deck. ...

Re: Did Doctor Who flop?
I have built The Sixth Doctor + Romana II as a Historic deck. Missy as a Morph/Cybermen deck. The Ninth Doctor + Clara Oswald (White) as an Alternative Wincon via upkeep triggers deck. The War Doctor + Clara Oswald (Black) as an Exile/Chaos deck. And now Me, the Immortal as a Counters Matters deck. ...

Re: How familiar are you with Doctor Who?
I watched every New Who episode and even some of the spin-offs (Torchwood and Class). Started watching it back in 2012 or so with the Christopher Eccleston season and binged it up to the most recent season then. I'm still watching it, though the Jodie Whittaker seasons had pretty bad writing. I'm gl...

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
Blossoming Tortoise is a nice card for land-recursion decks. World Shaper with a bit of extra upside. Being a mythic slightly annoys me, but the extra text is relevant for the new manlands. This card will work wonders in my Sidisi, Brood Tyrant list. World Shaper 's dies trigger is still better, th...

Re: False Friends in your Decks
And it's because the "sacrifice a creature" is cumulative upkeep - the opponent can just elect not to pay and kill your goaded, forced sac, draw engine and you get nothing. . . If they don't pay, they won't get to sacrifice it either, because it can't get sacrificed. So it's a free 10/10 ...

Re: False Friends in your Decks
Hmm, are you sure about that interaction with spells on the stack? I literally just tried it on Magic Online with both Morph and Ashes of the Fallen and they both resolved putting the creatures into play. If you still think you're correct (Magic Online is not known to be the best) it would highligh...

False Friends in your Decks
EDHRec, as wonderful of a tool it is, isn't free of problems. One of these problems that I want to discuss today is "false friends". Cards that appear in a lot of decks for a selected Commander and that seem to be the perfect fit for these Commanders, but have in fact way less to no synerg...

Re: Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger: A Take on Titan - No Escape from The Rack
Let's keep it short and simple. Nothing of interest in both The Brothers' War and The Brothers' War Commander sets. Just know that I haven't abandoned this deck, as I'm still optimizing it. I want at least one win with the new version before I post it here, otherwise I'd feel like I have failed.

Played this list yesterday, and it felt very nostalgic to let Craterhoof Behemoth resolve three times (once on an empty board for the win) :D
I still adore the deck after all these years, even if I took a break from it for a while.

Dominaria United and its Commander decks have two fun new cards that I want to talk about: Karn, Living Legacy - Another infinite mana outlet that bypasses Narset, Parter of Veils , Notion Thief and the likes, and can get us our wincon. The Mana Rig - And another one. This one can even be found by a...

Re: Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger: A Take on Titan - No Escape from The Rack
*le sigh* Dominaria United and its corresponding Commander decks aren't offering a lot of new toys for Kroxa, but there is one card that looks interesting enough to consider. The Raven Man - It's great that he does trigger in each end step, it's just sad that the bird tokens can't block. But it's an...

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
Oh boy, what am I going to do with Ayesha Tanaka, Armorer? After a failed attempt of building original Ayesha Tanaka earlier this year, I'm tempted to give her another shot with her new card... I just don't know what to do with her that isn't "just voltron".

Out 1 Flame Sweep In 1 Archivist of Oghma I have always considered Flame Sweep a flex slot in this list, a meta choice and ready to get cut if there are better cards to include. Archivist of Oghma is such an auto-include that I'll gladly take out the Removal that would kill it as well. I still have...

Re: A Take on Titan - No Escape from The Rack (Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger)
Well then, I have something new in the works for Kroxa, but I still have to play a few more games before I want to update my list accordingly. I have swapped 12 cards in total (all the Rack pieces are gone now). The one game I managed to get in, was a very close one. Third place, but the opponent ha...

And another set that'll release in two weeks. Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate review: Archivist of Oghma - A two-mana Flash creature that gives me 1 life whenever an opponent tutors or fetches... very nice. Oh, it draws a card every time as well? Yeah, this should be an auto-include in t...

Re: Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Zombie Horde and Shenanigans
Sidisi seems to be in for a treat with the upcoming set.
Sivriss, Nightmare Speaker looks pretty good as well. I just want to know if Sidisi is going to trigger for each creature that was milled with Sivriss, because I'm not sure if these mills are considered different instances or just one.

Re: Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Zombie Horde and Shenanigans
Finally played my first game with Sidisi again after almost 4 years and what a fun game that was. I lost to a Ghired, Conclave Exiled player who played Angel of Sanctions that attempted to exile my Angel of Suffering , and unfortunately I was 1 mana short of turning my Lazav, the Multifarious into a...

New Capenna review! Again, not a lot of new cards for our fiery fox: Jailbreak - This card has lots of potential. It can be used for returning an opponent's unwanted stax piece back to battlefield while working as a cheap reanimation spell for our own cards. Unfortunately it doesn't work well with C...

Yeah, I found it, thank you for pointing that out^^ Why isn't Syr Konrad the Grim in the list? He looks like he'd still be a powerhouse, especially since Mesmeric Orb + Aphetto Alchemist are still in the deck and even with only Konrad out, milling an Eldrazi Titan would deal a huge amount of damage,...

Re: Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Zombie Horde and Shenanigans
I've been considering coming back to Sidisi for a while now, but Angel of Suffering completely tipped me over the edge. I have to make cuts from like 5-6 other decks to build Sidisi once again (and since I only got one copy of Kozilek and Ulamog I'm considering putting only one in Sidisi and leaving...

Re: A Take on Titan - No Escape from The Rack (Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger)
//Out 1 Torpor Orb //In 1 Junji, the Midnight Sky Turns out, shutting off Kroxa's EtBs aren't as great as I thought when having multiple reanimation spells in my hand. One attack trigger in each of my turns isn't enough to justify a 6/6 body. Junji, the Midnight Sky is a great creature that can be ...
