Re: Creatures-Only Club
My Tyranid deck has all creatures except for Hardened Scales. Does that count?

Re: Well @#$%, That Didn't Work...
I noticed at one point that Pyromancer's Swath and Avaricious Dragon had the same downside, so I figured if I put 4 of each in a deck, then after the first one, it's like the cards come with no downside at all. Turns out, the first one's downside is still pretty huge. My first iteration of a BR Rea...

Re: Sucker Punch!!!
I don't think I have a "sucker punch" Casual-60 deck; rather, I think that's more my speed for Legacy.

Finally got my stuff for the deck; I'll try it out, at some point, but I unfortunately haven't heard from my local Casual-60 friend in a couple of months.

Re: Budget Emrakul deck
A better engine for an Emrakul deck would probably include: 4x Ilharg, the Raze-Boar 4x Djeru and Hazoret 4x Sneak Attack 4x Through the Breach 4x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn I also personally run 4x Griselbrand and 4x Atraxa, Grand Unifier with a playset of Seething Song and other fast mana cards, such...

Re: Taste the Rainbow, Wield the Rainbow
I don't like to go more than 2-3 colors in my Casual-60 decks; I can't afford reasonable manabases for that many colors, nor would I find it worth it for a Casual-60 deck. :p

Re: Poll - How Often do You Multiplayer (MP) casual?
I unfortunately have few friends that enjoy Casual-60 Magic; additionally, they really don't much hang out with each other. However, it's always fun when we can pull it off!

Re: Dragon...tech? Wait, wut?
Yeah, cards like Lava Spike are great, cheap, and fast removal spells for early game, to keep your opponent's board down before establishing your own presence, so, cards that are similar to that are decent.

Re: Sneak & Breach
...I playtested this, and the one complaint the deck has is consistency of fast mana. I'm at the point where I really want Chrome Moxen in there, but... ...do...do we want to cut basic lands? I've been messing around with some other Legacy decks, and I'm starting to think that's the key to all of th...

Re: Sneak & Breach
Alright, here we are, 5 months later. I'm gonna be testing a variant of S&B without prison pieces and with all gas, gas, gas. I'm maxing out on Ilhargs and bringing the Grizzlebizzles back, dropping the Worldspines and Wurmcoil, topping on the Seething Songs, and adding the playset of Djeru &...

This deck feels like it goes really slowly. How often do you find yourself outpaced when you play this?

Have you considered the cards that win you the game when you've reached a certain life total?
Also, there's a "pro-choice" joke in here, somewhere.

Re: Biiiiig Mana!!!
12post is totally valid. I used a lot of big mana cards in my Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder Commander deck, back in the day. As for 60-card formats, my signature Legacy deck is Sneak & Breach, and I once hardcast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn against Miracles with it, which was really %$#% silly.

Re: Casual-60 Tyranids?!?
Haha, this looks silly and stupidly fun but super-aggressive. I use the Termagant Swarm now in my Sliver Queen token matters edh, and I use Screamer-Killer in another edh, but never really looked at Tyranids as a tribe deck. I assume that Hardened Scales counts toward the ravenous trigger, yes? I m...

Re: CRAB BATTLE, AAAAUGH
Haha, keep with this, and you'll turn this sucker into the bane of all players (all at once!) My friend has kept a mill deck now for something like ten years. He's slowly mod'd it from a 1v1 mill that he would stupidly use to try and mill me in a FFA, rarely worked. Now, with many of the same cards...

Re: Bend, but Don't Break
I personally often go all-in on my archetypes for the sake of efficiency, but I have been known to include pet cards (i.e. Bounty of the Luxa ) for the sake of augmenting an already-existing gameplan until I find I can no longer keep those cards in for the sake of furthering the gameplan. Haha, I d...

Re: Sometimes...Greed Isn't Good, It's GREAT!!!
That's the great thing about the decklist tag on this site. Hit the draw 7 option, and top deck to see how this thing can play for ten turns. The most recent game with The Mummy was a star game, and was turn 2 Bloodghast , turn 3 Nest of Scarabs , turn 4 Skinrender for three bugs, turn 5 Black Sun'...

Re: Poison Sure Has Come a Long Way
You know, blue/green has so much proliferation, I use it now in my Prime Speaker Zegana edh along with graft creatures, but I'd never actually considered U/G poison. How does that work as a basic deck-shell, exactly? Is it a grindy-proliferate, or an explosive infect-in-your-face approach like I ha...

Re: Casual-60 Tyranids?!?
It has also been noted that the color ratio for my lands is pretty bad. I've done the math: 21 lands, 9 of which are basics 51 mana symbols - 38 G, 9 U, 4 R If we're working with the full land skew, I should have ~15.64 G-generating lands, ~3.7 U-generating lands, and ~1.647 R-generating lands. If w...
