Re: Cockatrice Prerelase Event - Grave Masters Set

If my opponent could reach out to me on Discord, that'd be great. I have no idea who you are.

Have you considered making it black, running Rituals, maining more LEDs, and Infernal Tutor?

Re: Oracle's Shift

Thought Lash was suggested to me instead of Leveler. I think 3 Leveler → 3 Thought Lash is a good call, here.

Re: Oracle's Shift

4 Island → 4 Flooded Strand
1 Jace, Wielder of Mysteries → 1 Narset, Parter of Veils
1 Laboratory Maniac → 1 Narset, Parter of Veils
1 Leveler → 1 Narset, Parter of Veils
2 Preordain → 2 Echo of Eons

Something like that?

I feel like Thassa's Oracle is a better win con for Oops, All Spells!. I had a feeling that Underworld Breach was going to be absurd in Legacy as soon as I saw that it was being printed.

Re: State of Legacy Thread

I think Depths still beats out Oko decks in speed, based on personal experience. Oko decks tend to have more sustainability, but Depths doesn't care about that as long as it wins quickly enough.

Re: Legacy traffic a bit low?

I've been trying to brew a mono-B Hate deck - just a bunch of removal, discard, and disruption. I've had middling success, so far, but am struggling to finalize a build, partially because I have so many options, and partially because I play so many different decks that I try to use.

Re: Modern bans and unbans - impacting Legacy attendance?

To be fair, WF, there are already a handful of Legacy-viable Walkers that have a $100+ pricetag. W&6 just happens to be another. Also, Miracles has been on an upswing, I would posit, largely due to the addition of Narset 2.0 and Teferi 3.0 to the card pool.

I'm really interested in seeing the Flashback and Madness cards make waves. I'm going to be testing Anje's Ravager in a mono-R Madness shell.

Re: Legacy traffic a bit low?

I've played a good number of the more viable decks in Legacy, and have seen even more played. I haven't been playing the format for even 2 years, but a lot has certainly changed in that time. I feel like I may have invested in the wrong decks, which is disheartening, but I'm trying to find my niche ...

Re: Thada Adel: The Biggest, Bluest Beatdown

I absolutely adored my Thada Adel deck, where my goal was to steal everyone's Sol Rings and then win off of Mechanized Production or Blue Sun's Zenith . The deck eventually became Atraxa Artifact Goodstuff Tokens, which was a blast to play. (My other primary win con was Revel in Riches .) That said...

Re: Changing your deck's power level without changing cards

A lot of my LGS has players that will promise "oh my deck doesn't do thaaat", but oftentimes, it's with people we just...don't know, and don't have reason to take at face value. That said, why even put the combos in your deck if you know people are going to grumble about it?

Izzet Chaos

Hey, guys. I'm working on a Chaos deck with Jhoira of the Ghitu at the helm because I'm a terrible person. However, I want to make sure I have all of the Chaos cards that are conducive to what I'm trying to accomplish with my deck. Can we compile a list of fun Chaos cards, just for the hell of it? S...

Re: Worst matchup for Mono Red Prison

I find that counter-heavy decks are typically the best ones to beat the red decks with (source: Sneak & Breach main, here). Stoneblade, Delver/Grixis Control, and Miracles tend to give me the most problems.

Re: Organizing the Legacy Subforum

Are you going to moderate out the "my first vampire deck" threads that plagued developing in mtgs. Under the old mtgs Developing had old respect able but well known decks like parfait, stax, soldier stompy, high tide (and ludicrously Dragon Stompy and Miracles) etc., but ridiculous amounts of decks...

Re: Organizing the Legacy Subforum

So, we've decided that if there are less-tested variants to the already-posted decks, here, that they can have their own spin-off thread under Developing, and that it would be on the users to create that distinction within the decks listed. If we feel like something isn't enough of a variant, we'll ...

Re: [Placeholder] Primer - Reanimator

I've been playing BR/BU Reanimator for a bit, and Faithless Looting just...feels bad. It can't be a T1 play in addition to a Reanimate spell unless you cast it off of a Petal, and more often than not, you want to be doing something other than drawing and discarding T1. The problem is the same with B...

Re: Organizing the Legacy Subforum

In some respect, I understand where you're coming from - finding info on Reanimator was always a hassle, as I personally play mono-B Reanimator. However, the issue with that is the flip side of the argument: That breaking the discussion up into too many different places can also stifle talk on the d...
