In case you haven't seen it, here's the update: https://mtgcommander.net/index.php/2021 ... ry-update/.
We're very happy to have some excellent community voices added to the CAG. These are great folks to advise us on taking the format into the future.

Community Best Practices
Anthony and I are going to do an upcoming episode of Commander Community about community practices. The tagline of the show is "everything beyond the tabletop," and we know what we do. We'd like to talk about some of the things that you do. What are your things that make your community fun...

Re: Second Annual MTGNexus Commander Climate Survey
This is good work and worthwhile stuff.
If you were one of the fewer than 9% who said you were in some fashion dissatisified with the CAG, I'm interested in hearing why. If you don't want to bring it up publicly, please feel free to PM me here or on the various social media.

Re: Social Contract
If you make a show with social contract as the topic, could you also include some talking about "what it isn't" to you and how you've seen the concept of social contract mis-applied? I've seen the concept used as an excuse to berate me and others for playing certain cards (e.g. Torpor Orb...

Social Contract
Generating some talking points for an upcoming episode of Commander Community. Either in the context of the format or in general, what does the term "social contract" mean to you?

After numerous requests, I've passed up the chain the request to make Commander Community available in audio-only format.

Just in case folks haven't heard us repeat this many times recently, commander damage isn't going anywhere.

Looks like audio-only is not currently in the plans. Hopefully we'll revisit the idea at some point.

Completely off. When it's just two, get the game done so you can start a new one with everyone.

Two New Pieces of Weekly Content
I'm doing two new video series for SCG. 1. The Command Chair. My co-host each week rotates through members of the RC (and occasionally CAG) as we talk about the details of the game. This one will focus on game play and the styles of games the RC supports and explores. First episode is already live: ...

Re: RULES UPDATE - Death Triggers on Commanders
While not mentioned, how does this new rule interact with Oblation i.e. tuck effect? As in, does the commander gets shuffled into the library THEN return to command zone? I can't think of a trigger that happens when a creature gets shuffled at the moment, but assuming there is, will this rule event...

Re: June 1 2020 rules changes
BTW, folks are getting hung up on "sideboard," which WotC uses in the announcement, but may not actually be supported by the CR update. "Sideboard" is shorthand for "Outside the game in tournament play." Let's see the new CR wording before worrying too much.

TLDR: Companion will work exactly the same in Commander that it does in other formats (meaning paying the 3, etc.), save that it doesn't come from a sideboard.

Subscription to the Twitch channel, but I guess that's also only monthly, like the Patreon. If you'd like to simply donate directly, you can use PayPal to museoffirellc@gmail.com. I suppose we could also set up a VenMo account or something as well.

Re: RC Patreon, Twitch, and Discord Now Live
Do you have any concrete examples of what or whom will be supported by these funds? Sure. We've already given to a number of cosplayers. We sponsored Tappy Toe Claws and Christine Sprankle to Magic Fest Reno right before things shut down. We're patrons of Sector Six Support, who helps more Magic co...

Re: Ban List Update - Flash Banned
cEDH players are part of the subset of Commander players, just like Battlecruiser EDH players are. We can't pretend that they have a completely overlapping set of needs or desires. Sure, the meta-goal of "have fun" is the same, but the meaning of fun, or at least how to get there, is diffe...

Re: [Speculation] Ban List Update Prediction Thread
I'd have to go back to loo at the video. We don't make rules for corner cases. If I said "change" instead of "make," then that was me mis-speaking. As Toby and Charlotte have pointed out, we do change things occasionally to adapt to new rules, circumstances, and ideas.
