Broken Fall doesn't target so no Gargos trigger.

Re: [Official] IKO Previews in Modern
The other side is that if you kill the creature AFTER they mutate...it all goes to the bin or exile. It counts as one creature ONCE it mutates. They still get an effect if there is an effect to be had though which isn't the greatest.

Re: What's your most unusual commander and/or deck?
Gargos, Vicious Watcher - Creatureless Voltron. It is just Gargos, a few equipment and ramp, and whole much of targeted cards that protect with Hexproof, Indestructible, Regenerate, Trample, or Draw Cards. It is pretty fun playing voltron and killing more creatures then the table combined from Garg...

Help for a Kroxa-centric deck
You can also play wheel effects and Commander has a lot of draw effects so megrim might not be a completely dead card.

Re: What reprints would you put in Pioneer Horizons?
More of the Tribal cards from days on past that could make tribal strategies work in Pioneer particularly Elf, Merfolk, and Slivers.

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 10/21/2019)
Green is a color of power, but not a color of a lot of answers. If more answers get printed like they have for legacy and vintage, would green have any place in the format? Green gets better the less there are answers and worse as more answers open up as blue is directly opposite of this. Blue gets ...

Re: Theros Beyond Death preview
I am hoping to see more Hydras especially with Gargos and Thundering Snapper providing some Hydra support on the whole. I wonder if there will be a Hydra-tribal specific land as they seem to make some more of those like Tournament Grounds. I am also hoping for an Abzan Enchantments matter commander.

Gargos, Vicious Watcher - Hydra Tribal and more
Hello, My name is Worldsaverinc and I love tribal decks. I have built some tribal decks in commander, standard, and modern. One of the tribes that I love is Hydras. Hydras are big splashy creatures normally. They are also now Green's Iconic Creature, but recently they have had some intriguing design...

Re: Nissa's Spanish Inquisition!
I have been playing Gargos, Vicious Watcher in a Hydra Tribal deck, but they have been pulling a ton of weight in a control sense. In many games, Gargos has killed more creatures with effects like pounce or Combo Attack or Band Together that I have been seriously considering a pure voltron strategy ...

Re: [ELD] Throne of Eldraine Modern Discussion
Elves, sadly, probably can't use the green land and doesn't have enough other types to run the lands. Elves, currently, relies on a lot of basic lands and none of them come into play tapped. Elves would have to go to a fetch/shock mana base to play these with any efficiency and I don't see that happ...

Re: What are your first decks in Modern?
RG Shamans. I used pizzap's thread and posted in quite frequently there for a little bit. My first modern FNM, I came in second over 30 people. I never did that well again, but it was fun!
I moved on to other tribes like Elves and Slivers, but still kept a shiny spot in my heart for them.

Re: [ELD] Throne of Eldraine Modern Discussion
Once Upon a Time feels interesting as it could have a lot of applications, The few decks that I am more familar with. Elves - I think GB Elves wants more Elves than this so probably not replacing CoCo/Lead. GW Elves may want this. They like Devoted Devestation need to get the combo going up and runn...

Re: Your top five favourite modern cards
I am a tribal player at heart. I like cards like 1. Cavern of Souls - Makes all tribal decks viable. 2. Heritage Druid - Makes Elves EXPLODE! I don't think Elves would be that viable without Heritage Druid busting out some of spaces. 3. Sinew/Predatory Sliver - SLIVERS!!!!!!! 4. Aether Vial/Collecte...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)
I am more interested in what decks cam come back with these two cards banned. Will am expansive Tier 2 emerge again as days gone bye? Which decks will come back that were pushed out by the graveyard decks. I am thinking some of the non-Human tribal decks might make a resurgence like Merfolk, Spirits...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)
Oh and BTW. Modern is billed as a format with 30+ viable decks, or at least was. It really isn't that way anymore as I look at lists. Welcome, but this was never true, not since the format was actually called Modern anyway, was this ever factual. There is 'Modern Diversity' in which many people pla...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)
The state of modern is different then it was when twin was banned. I think the problem with seeing whether diversity would be effected by Twin's banning was that Eldrazi Winter happened and also changed the face of modern. We don't know whether overall diversity would have increased or decreased tha...
