Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 03/09/2020)

Forgot to say this. Hard to believe Noble Hierarch is only 15-17 dollars now... it used to be a 50 dollar card. I guess double masters reprint + low activity of the format due to pandemic helped bring the price down waiting for it to drop a little more.. then might get some. :) A lot of cards are r...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 03/09/2020)

I haven't posted in a "state of modern" thread on here or on Salvation in a very long time. It has a lot to do with Twin being the singular topic, regardless of who "starts it". I'm sorry man. I assumed some of the other "regulars" just moved on to something more impor...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 08/26/2019)

I'm interested in Pioneer simply because I like Magic, have regularly had one or more decks for every constructed format (though I haven't played Standard in about 2 years), and can easily fold Pioneer into my collection and deck building. Not because I have any issues with where Modern or Legacy or...

Re: [Poll] Is your wallet fatigued in this format?

I voted yes because I try to keep my decks up to date. In Modern I play Jund, Storm, Burn, Titanshift and UW/x variants. Jund and Burn are what I'm most comfortable with and what I'll most often bring to a larger-than-FNM tournament unless I see clear metagame signs for something else. That said, wi...

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 07/08/2019)

This was a great update for multiple formats, including Legacy which didn't get touched. I'm a fan overall. SFM unban. I have argued against an unban of SFM but am happy to see it in the format. I want more midrange games and think SFM will help bring that about. Hagaak ban. Yes, obviously needed. N...
