Of course fun it's subjective. No doubts here.
But is it also the diversity? I saw many people pointing out that they were always face the same decks.

In the last 3 competitive online leagues I saw there were: - 1 Burn - 1 MR Prowess - 1 UR Delver - 1 Grixis Delver - 1 4C Shadow - 2 Bant Soulhearder (80 cards) - 2 Bant Control - 1 Amulet Titan - 1 Eldrazi Tron - 1 Vizier Druid - 1 Esper Control - 1 Jeskai Saheeli (80 cards) - 1 DredgeVine Is this ...

Modern Challenge top8 is a thing of beauty. Great diversity, even when Lurrus is overplayed.

Oh, sure. "We". The usual 3-4 users, since 2014.

So, we have a list with 20+ archetypes in and we're complaining?
No wonder it's always the same people being annoying about the format.

That's pretty rubbish, and you can see that from top8 results.

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 03/09/2020)
I don't get people being angry at Modern *every year*. There are individuals who complain since Twin's ban. For God's sake, just stop playing it if you don't think it's fun! Right now out there is plenty of very viable strategies: - UW/Bant Blade - Snow Control - Urza Variants - Jund - Amulet Titan ...

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
I was very confident - again - in Esper after the printing of Drown in the Loch.
Then, Titans happened and Thought Scouring the opponent was the worst thing you could do in the format. Since then, I see very little reasons to stay in Esper.

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
I didn't play at all in the last three months.
I tested something during the last week, and I honestly see zero reasons to stay in Esper. Bant Control is very powerful, and Sultai is a much better choice when you want to go the Draw-Go route. The latter has been phenomenal for me.

Re: Splinter Twin vs. Modern gauntlet testing discussion
TarmoTwin wants Serum Visions instead of Opt because of "sorcery" for Goyf.
I still think Jeskai would be the way (T3feri + Path).

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
There is a lot of sense in not playing Leylines. It's called consistency.
You can agree or disagree with the choice, it's fine. But one cannot deny what a card does. Leyline is far from being a strictly superior card.

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
Sorry to say this, but you seem to misunderstand when and against whom we side it. RIP in this deck isn't a catch all like in straight UW, where you board it in against things such as GDS or Grixis Control. It's a Dredge hoser. Nothing else. You bring it against strategies where you basically win on...

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
It doesn't answer Dredge. It's a temporary solution, and we win vs them with hard counter (aka: RIP or Leyline).
Good luck playing Guile on the draw, then.

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
RIP only enters in otherwise unwinnable matchups like Dredge. Where when you resolve it you care 0 about anything else.

Hey guys. Crushed another local (5-0) with the following list:
https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/visual/2518559
Played vs Simic Urza, Amulet Titan, Red Prison, Temur Snow and UR Storm. Deck stays strong. Sanctuaries are dope.

Re: [Official] State of Modern Thread (B&R 08/26/2019)
GDS is the opposite of 'a consistent deck', but it's a 'powerful one' for sure. It doesn't play the same, but it's somewhat similar to the old Canadian Thresh.
Sb Decay our vs GDS is wrong, cause they hit walkers too (Scions, both Lily).

I didn't miss them, cause I replaced Hulks with another creature that makes CA and beats down the opponent. I don't think there are other routes, either you play the first or the second. Vendilion Clique and all the 3cc flash creatures are meant to occupy a different slot. You want 4 Scours regardle...

Re: [Primer] Esper Draw-Go Control
It's actually one of the variants i'm testing, Not this exact list, but an Esper version of @aspiringspike Grixis Control. I don't know if cutting Kommands and Bolts to bring in Paths and Guiles is worth it. Certainty I dislike the walkers, it's a draw-go strategy. And Guiles conflict with Drown and...
