Re: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim: What Is Dead May Never Die
From time to time, I 'convert' my Ayli deck to a different [sym=wb] commander, to see whether I like it better, or, if not, what can be learned from that experience. She's been Teysa Karlov a year or so ago, and now, she's Liesa, Shroud of Dusk . For now, I'm enjoying the life gain/drain/stax/hatebe...

Re: So, I had a thought, and would like some imput (Zombie Plague)
I actually considered an exile clause when I first created the card, to prevent reanimation shenanigans. I am seriously contemplating adding it in, but I'll need to mull it over some more. Also: exiling the critter when making a zombie token prevents it from becoming yet another Blood Artist or Zul...

Re: Necropotence
Much as I like cycles and think they're cute, I also hate cycles and think they're wretched. They make for awfully lazy design ... but at the same time, done right every ten years or so, provide a warm and fuzzy feeling of nostalgia and memories of older sets, helping create and sustain the belief ...

Whow, these are al very creative and good! Thanks!
Do you think 'multi-color'-potences are possible as well?
(like 'Temurpotence' or 'Esperpotence'?)

Necropotence
What if... hypothetically, the iconic Necropotence had 4 equivalents?

And Flash is gone. That's just 4 cards that needs to change? Or is there any merit in running both rectors (and Omniscience?) without it?

Re: Pir and Toothy, when imagination become nightmare
Hi! First of all: loving your alter! I'm slinging a P&T deck as well. I can post a decklist, if you want. My incoherent ramblings (in no particular order) Psychosis Crawler : Most of the times, this is my wincon. Neither it nor Toothy ever needs to attack. Windfall for 30 for the kill! Cr...

A long hard look it is, then. I present to you my personal findings. As always, very interested in your perspectives. 39 Lands This bunch of lands (I know it looks like a lot) is the sweetspot for me between screw and flood. It's actually 38+ Maze of Ith ; including 8 fetch (7 normal+ Fabled passage...

Re: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim: What Is Dead May Never Die
A hard look is very likely what this deck might need. This is a grindy sac-for-fun-and-profits deck, and Ayli herself often felt like just a sac outlet in the command zone. If I'm honest, with every set or supplemental product that comes out, I'm always hoping for a [sym=wb] commander that does just...

Happy! Not much of a Standard player, but I, for one, welcome the return of our devotion overlord. (Has never been away in Commander, actually)

Re: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim: What Is Dead May Never Die
How is everyone else feeling about Sheoldred, whispering one ? Shelly got cut from my list a while ago, too. Which is a bit sad, as I got a nice foil version of her not very long ago. She attracts swords like crazy. Lately I've been running fewer reanimation effects, and a bit more ramp and tutors ...

Re: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim: What Is Dead May Never Die
True, Argivian Find is cheap but you'd still have to cast that one combo piece . I'm gonna swap the two to test it out, see how it works out. Let me know your findings! Very interested how it works for you. Argivian Find is has the edge for me, mostly because its instant-speed is key when trying to...

Interesting! It put several important combo pieces from 'yard directly into play on the battlefield. Then again, Argivian Find is an instant and soo darn cheap manawise.

Will Kenrith Emblems + Pact of Negation question
Player A controls Will Kenrith and has made two emblems* with it. He counters a spell with Pact of Negation . The emblems create two copies of the Pact of Negation . He has only the means of paying for one during his next upkeep. Does he lose to the 2 nd and 3 rd pact, or can he make the copies coun...

Re: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim: What Is Dead May Never Die
I’ve been playing an Orzhov Commander deck since very long: it has been led by Teysa, Orzhov Scion , Ghost Council of Orzhova , Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter before turning into Ayli (now since several years). All these things taught me valuable lessons on how to construct and pilot a BW deck. I think it’...

Is this the place? This must be the place. Hi.
Haven’t played Ayli much lately, but Generous Gift and Despark have defintely replaced Utter End and Vindicate. Also added: Talisman of Hierarchy (replacing Fellwar Stone).
