The Acolyte is solid. It's a touch slower than Skyshroud Claim but the explosive mana generation it provides make it a solid role-player in green-centric ramp decks. It also feeds itself in a way, giving you the mana to build a board to make even more mana. I dig it.

The "one or more" clause limits the utility of mass grave hate. You could exile thirty cards and still only get one time counter.

I think the major thing I dislike about this is the time required to reset after removal. If it worked with experience counters or energy I think it would be much stronger.

Just play Sneak Attack. It does the same thing as AR's ideal outcome 100% of the time. It also costs like 6 bucks these days.

I liked this in Henzie "Toolbox" Torre. It beats, it retreats, and keeps your hand fueled. It wasn't a standout roleplayer or anything, but it fulfilled its niche well enough.

I loved this card in the old UR Dragonstorm deck, what an elegant wincon. But 8 mana can do so much better these days. Flash is this thing's only saving grace now.
