Re: Looking for dual use cards
The problem with Dragons is that Galazeth Prismari doesn't actually help to cast them. Desperate Ritual , Pyretic Ritual , Seething Song will go along way. Frantic Search will help to cast Dragons. Even High Tide is a great mana producing with even say 2 Islands in play as Galazeth Prismari lets yo...

Re: Looking for dual use cards
*not having read the decklist* Modular instants work well to give you options during slow turns. Mystic Confluence , Cryptic Command , Sublime Epiphany , Magma Opus , Insidious Will … … Delayed Blast Fireball and Mizzium Mortars … **went and skimmed the list** Looks like you have several X spells a...

Looking for dual use cards
I want to reboot my Galazeth Prismari deck. Archidekt link . The idea of the deck was to just accumulate lots of artifact through artifact token generation and then play cards that capitalize on me having lots of artifacts. i nicknamed it "Quantity Theory". Anyway, while the deck performs ...

Multiple Tributes to the World Tree
I'm building a Calix, Guided by Fate deck and plan to include Tribute to the World Tree . Now I'm wondering what will happen if I control two of them and a 2/2 creature enters the battlefield. Obviously the first Tribute trigger will give two +1/+1 counters, but what does the second trigger give? Co...

Non-staxy color hosers
I'm theorycrafting a deck revolving around Mind Bend and Magical Hack etc. I'm looking for good cards to hack the color or land type on for this deck A lot of the old hosers are really, really staxy though and I don't want too completely lock people out of the game. But there must be some good cards...

Re: To Battle! Battles in Commander
I haven't played with any of them yet so I might be wrong, but from the looks of it only Invasion of Ikoria and Invasion of Shandalar seems worth it. Basically the front of the card has to be playable as if it were its own card. The fact they can flip into something else too is just gravy but you pa...

Scryfall help
I'm using scryfall to research cards for a deck with Durnan of the Yawning Portal as the commander. Therefore I want to do scryfall searches on green and/or blue creatures with mana costs that contain 2 or 3 generic mana. But I don't know how and i can't find it in the scryfall help or using google....

They will also be good with Myriad, given that this gives a hasty attacker for each opponent.

Re: Let's Brew Thalia and The Gitrog Monster: Man I Love Frogs
Given the value trigger is an attack trigger and this makes a great blocker... how do we get it vigilant? EDIT: Other than with Felidar Retreat Also, since this is a lands deck you're going to have some land tutoring. I think this could be a better commander to turn this deck (Link to article) into ...

Urza, Prince of Kroog and Mirage Mirror
I'm brewing Urza, Prince of Kroog and I was wondering about it's interactions with Mirage Mirror . If you copy something that Mirage Mirror turned into, does the copy also revert back to being a Mirage Mirror at end of turn? Or does only the original have this trigger? (I know if you do not copy an ...

Thanks for allthe suggestions. But afaik, there's no reliable way for a decent mana cost or not involving multiple cards.

Thanks for clarifying this. I knew damage did not use the stack anymore, but somehow I couldn't figure this one out.

Combat tricks with double blocks and damage assignment
Hi all, So after playing this game for 25+ years something that I should know by heart led to a rules misunderstanding yesterday. The situation: My opponent attacks me with a 3/3 menace. i double block with a 3/3 and a 2/2. My opponent assigns his damage to the 3/3. Before damage is dealt I use an i...

Best ways to reuse instants and sorceries in Izzet
Hi all, I have an izzet deck with a spellslinger component, and I'm looking for ways to reuse instants and sorceries. The aim is to run out of removal less quickly. Do you have any tips for this? I'm not looking for cards like Relearn but cards that allow me to recur spells without card disadvantage...

Re: How do I make Ramses work?
I think the best card to combine with Ramses, Assassin Lord is Hatred . Will win you the game immediately. Also does wonders with a lifegain creature like the Felidar Sovereign you're running and also helps actually trigger Near-Death Experience so it has some synergy with other cards in your deck. ...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sands
Ok so yesterday I finally got my first two games in with the deck. It's as fun to play as I expected, but the mana is still very precarious. It also means the deck is a little slower than it looks on paper. Once it get's going it really gets going, but getting there takes more time than I would like...

Re: Planeswalker Threshold
The cheapest Gideon is 3 cmc, by that time you will have drawn 10 cards without extra card draw. 99/10=9,9 so you'll need 10 to have one on average when you want to cast it. There are 8, but you can run several tutors to effectively have more. There's Djeru, Call the Gatewatch, the double tutor from...

Looking for a fitting commander/strategy
I had a deck idea for a new deck, which is to play lots of damage prevention cards, simply because i never really see them. My meta also way more go wide than go tall so this could work (in theory, this will not become my most powerful deck). So think stuff like Protection of the Hekma , Thunderstaf...

Re: Let's end Maze's End
I don't really see the difference in losing to a turn 7 Scapeshift into Maze's End vs a turn 7 Craterhoof Behemoth / Overwhelming Stampede . Even post CLB there's no reason to play Gates other than for Maze's End purposes so the card comes with a huge downside too. And if it's really causing problem...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sands
Skullclamp seems like an easy include, as does Heroic Intervention . Knight of the Reliquary could also be pretty good. I'm not sold on Artifact Mutation and Aura Mutation . Synergistic, sure, but they're limited in what they can remove. I like my removal to be very flexible because when I need it,...
