Sheldon wasn't just the EDH OG, he was THE level 5 judge of judges among other things, and he clarified rules sometimes years ahead of WotC. He was also a veteran, patriot, husband, friend, and apparently all around decent guy.
If only he was a politician. Then he'd have lived to be 100.

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
When it comes to AI and such, Colossus: The Forbin Project comes to mind. And this amazing quote from the original Dune novel, which I believe to be happening in real time. "Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free, but that only permitted other ...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
TSR created the second CCG ever - Spellfire. It was a hot mess that lasted about 6 years. Anyways, I was reminiscing about it and decided to look it up online only to discover that Wizbro let the Spellfire license lap a couple of years go and someone snatched it (and the .com) up and made it an NFT ...

Re: [Off-Topic] Community Chat Thread
My plan with the one ring is to order a collector booster and keep it sealed until Wotc confirms the ring is found. That way, I can pretend I have the one of ring in my possession for however long it takes for Star City Games to get the go ahead to reveal they have had it all along. Ol' SCG ain't w...

That was my whole point in the first place. Get joked like "normal" people. Get fired like "normal" people. Get treated . . . like "normal" people.

King David requested that Mephibosheth, who was lame in both feet, "eat at my table like one of the king's sons". And so he did. I believe that's how disabled people should be treated.TheGildedGoose wrote: ↑1 year agowhat if I… said my ableist beliefs… out loud .. aha ha, just kidding.. unless..?

Equity at its finest. What are you on about? To be clear, I don't think Musk is the archdevil of America or the god of capitalism or whatever folks on the left make him out to be. Musk is skub. He's a loud, rich businessman who's extended himself beyond any of expertise, and so now the vultures are...

Totally happens sometimes.

Though impressed, Mishra wasn't pleased with Urza's newest iteration of the thopter. Mishra had grown to not like surprises — especially from his brother.

As a person who never got the appeal of twitter, I have to say the fact that the ship is sinking and on fire makes it infinitely more appealing than whatever it was before. But then again, what can I say, I love collapse watching. I never got into Twitter, either. And I also enjoyed watching the Ja...

In case you didn't know, Ancestral Anger is available as a red Defiant Strike (add trample) and Renegade Tactics is strictly better than Panic.

Hot Take: Search effects in Commander should get the Rule 10 treatment. I mean, it's remarkable to me how WISHING is considered problematic because of a vague account from 20 years ago, while searching is actively ruining the format. (Yes, that would negate fetches, ramp, and tutors.) I don't think...

Green pinging! Seeing the old wording reminds me of how contemporary "any target" wording was merely a return to the Alpha wording. It's almost like Garfield knew what he was doing.

Re: Random Card of the Day: Waterspout Djinn
Got my ass whooped by a Waterspout Djinn in a mirror match (MUC), in the finals of a 24 player Extended tournament back in late '97. My first ever. Not quite a mirror since my opponent had Tradewind Rider and Waterspouts. Can't quite remember for sure what I had in those slots. I think Air Elementa...
