Re: Mahadi the Treasurecrat
If you standardize sorting and then download it, it'll give you a nicer decklist! :) e.g. (where I moved the commander manually ofc) Commander 1 Mahadi, Emporium Master Creatures (30) 1 Gutterbones 1 Impulsive Pilferer 1 Viscera Seer 1 Priest of Forgotten Gods 1 Reassembling Skeleton 1 Reckless Fire...

Re: Varina, Lich Queen - Esper Zombie Midrange
I actually think it could get pretty gross. I don't like that it's not on tribe, but it's gonna make our guys enormous, and it's pretty easy to use it to vomit out an army with. Will it make it to the list? I don't know. Does it combo? Not outside of some convoluted altar of dementia reanimation lo...

Re: Ephara, God of the Polis - Flash & Taxes
I actually have 12 basics but the snow covered mix helps it out. I'd say I would not run field or cosmic without the fetches so I'd want to be on that. For windgrace 100% want field. His minus ability is so strong there since field defends him. I think urzas saga belongs in almost all ephara builds....

Re: Ephara, God of the Polis - Flash & Taxes
While I ponder what card I cut for Charismatic Conqueror (probably Saltskitter ?) I wanted to write a little about my experience with Urza's Saga in this deck. Well, firstly, Urza's Saga is a very, very strong card. In Ephara, specifically, it offers some extensively cool lines of play. * On turn 1 ...

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
Geralf, the Fleshwright : every dang time zombies are involved they get typal support cards that are as busted as dragon typal card: this makes one zombie token for every spell after your first. And on top of that for the zombies that entered (which is the tokens by the way) it does Cathars' Crusad...

Re: [mtgnexus] Random Card of the Day - Samwise the Stouthearted
What's the loop? I don't see it. I imagine you'd need to do some dance to make it net some mana somehow (e.g. token producers and altars or KCI), but there are probably like 20 loops with it potentially :D I think the most obvious is probably an open creature sac outlet + Lion's Eye Diamond (e.g. B...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand - Traversing the Desert
The main reason I didn't look to Constant MIsts as an option was because I have no real way to get to it, other than drawing a bunch of cards. Spike Weaver and Chasm can be tutored out with other cards. I do agree that it has more synergy with the deck but that becomes less relevant if it takes me ...

I think Constant Mists is probably the fog if you want a fog, given the synergy with letting you sac deserts.

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
does Kellan, the Kid go infinite with Possibility Storm? that seems cute as heck. :D
not exactly infinite, but like, chaining a bunch of times for sure depending on your MV starting spell and what's in your hand, and if you draw more cards with any of the random crap that gets cast?

Re: Unreleased and New Card Discussion
Holy crap Freestrider Lookout is...a little busted. Maze of Ith Deserted Temple bs, go bananas. Life from the Loam + Boseiju, Who Endures / Otawara, Soaring City loops become ramp. yuck. Stone-Seeder Hierophant goes infinite if you don't miss :D (well, not infinite, but every player turn)

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand - Traversing the Desert
But the triggers from Shared Animosity (which was about 25 triggers) crashed the Client and we never actually got to see the end of the game. loooool championship coding Vorinclex transformed yuss :D This worked out very well. Vorinclex did get me cyclers and Realms Uncharted also got me cyclers wh...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand - Traversing the Desert
Sandwurm Convergence might be a funny on theme answer to fliers but it's pretty pricey mana wise. :D I have lately been playing Elder Gargaroth and Vorinclex // The Grand Evolution and these two have been great at deterring fliers. Not really great in this deck which might be more interested in Ulv...

Re: [SCD] Pip-Boy 3000
I'm not sure you need a 1 drop to get the value off Pip-Boy anyway. If you have a 2 drop (again, not that many decks running 10+ 2 drop creatures) and play and equip it on turn 3, it's still fairly dubious. Underperforming Cultivate at a pretty high rate is not a good place to be for an equipment. ...

Re: [SCD] Pip-Boy 3000
The thing people always miss on these cards ( Sword of the Animist is another typical one) is it requires you to have a creature out before you cast it otherwise you're taking an entire turn off. Or a creature with haste. Equally less common than people think. So is it great in Ragavan, Nimble Pilfe...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand - Traversing the Desert
Bygone Bishop might be worth cutting. I never really checked before, but I do only have 13 creatures that can trigger it. Man I apologize for bishop, in my head it was "creature 3 or less ETBs" like Tocasia's Welcome template. It's so hard to keep track of all that! Perhaps Titania, Prote...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand - Traversing the Desert
Nice. I think Nylea's Intervention really is great gas for this deck. Get a bunch of deserts, cycle them, play them. Solid. I think between Purph and Finale of Devastation you probably have enough ways to close it out. I suspect Shared Animosity would be the most efficient alternate wincon but it la...

Thanks! I did play a game with this new list and it worked out really well in general. Up until the UR player comboed off with Thousand-Year Storm and Expropriate.... Yeah I didn't mean henge as a specific include more of a general comment.
I think rob is waaaaay worse because it's only this turn. The resolve and impulse last til next turn. This is awesome.
Generally think that is a strong changeset!

For me, I run a good deal of protection You mean stuff like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and such? Do you have a list of cards you run? Re: Shaolin Stampede: Jeskai Go-Wide Enchantress
I just wanted to say that the ramp package in this deck is a thing of beauty :) Starnheim Courser and Cloud Key and so on with carefully chosen enchantments to maximize. One thing I'll say is I think Starfield Mystic is likely an upgrade over courser (and could potentially both be added). In my expe...

Re: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand - Traversing the Desert
Speaking of Tireless Tracker, I wonder if I am overvaluing Tireless Provisioner. The Treasures are absolutely nice to have, but I might need to put a bigger focus on getting cards to play versus have the mana to play them. I am likely getting enough lands that the Treasures may become superfluous? ...
