Re: Golos, Tireless Pilgrim - Alt Wincons.dec
What's the replay value like on this deck? I've been interested in building this, but my group is small.

Re: yr thoughts on card frames/borders
Even if it costs me a bit more, I'll always go for the old framed cards over the modern ones. To me, the new frames are just bland and boring.
I would have loved modern frames a lot more though if they used the Futureshifted versions.

Re: MTG Hot Takes
Collector edition cards should be legal for competitive play. Ever since tansform cards have come out the whole "standard cardbacks only" argument is dead to me. But what about the corners? What if they were cut? I pulled. Gisharth with square corners, would that be considered illegal to p...

I've got a mono black enchantment deck that has a spot for that curse card. It already runs some underworld dreams style effects and sign in bloods.

Okay, this thing got a chuckle out of me. I mean, look at this! Lol Creature - Goblin Warrior (1/2, red) Sacrifice a tapped Mountain, Pay 4 life: target artifact gains ''If ~this~ would deal combat damage to a creature, that damage is dealt to target creature or player instead'' until end of turn As...

Re: Favourite goofy Magic memories
I was in a match against my brother and I'd basically lost. When my turn came I used control magic to take one of his 1/1 tokens. He looked at me and said really? Out of everything on my board you take the token? His board was stacked with big creatures, but I was.dead anyway, so it didn't matter to...

Re: [C19] Elsha of the Infinite (Command Zone)
I'm in for this kind of deck. I've always built my decks with a low creature curve and high on spells.
My only complaint though is I have like, 7 decks I want to build ahead of this and I don't want to wait!

Okay, this card got a chuckle out of me. I love the flavor of the card and the effect is fun. Whether it's jank or decent, I don't care - I want a copy.

Re: Brawl Coming to Arena
I didn't like Brawl from the beginning, but I do like it finding a home on Arena. I won't ever play it in paper Magic because I'd prefer EDH or Oathbreaker, but I will certainly play it on Arena.

Re: [official] How long have you been playing?
Back in 2003, my brother brought me his old box of cards that sat in the garage for years filled with Revised cards and onward till about Mirage. At this time I was deeply entrenched in Yugioh, but he taught me how to play Magic and I taught my friend. We played a few hands but ultimately continued ...

Re: [official]card storage/sorting discussion
Man, some of these make me feel like an amateur, lol. I did get a few ideas from browsing this thread at least. I just have 3 binders. One for old frames, one for modern, and one for the new frames with the foil sticker. I used to keep a trade binder, but not anymore since I don't go out to tourname...

Re: [official]Basic land discussion
Short answer: It depends on the deck I'm running. Long answer: I usually go old frames for EDH/Oathbreaker and find art that I either like, or fits the theme of the deck I'm building. My "special/pet" decks get the un-lands treatment, and my modern decks get new framed lands. I match all t...

Re: Is it time to cut signets entirely?
Even stuff like resurgent I don't include in my decks for that reason. But I understand since I do run a few recent legendaries.
Of course I'm also happy that the format is thriving, but I guess like you said, it was a bit blunt.

Re: Is it time to cut signets entirely?
Yeah, this is basically my view on it. You summed it up pretty nicely.Part of me agrees with you. I find that they're just a little too on-the-nose; part of the appeal for EDH (for me, at least) in the beginning is that it wasn't official, and was totally off-the-wall.

Re: Is it time to cut signets entirely?
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I'm just not interested in the commander specific cards such as Arcane Signet , Commander's Sphere , etc. Naturally, they're good cards, but I just don't enjoy playing them for whatever reason. Heck no! I mean Arcane Signet is lazy and an auto-include in decks. ...

Re: Hello all!
Gotta say, good job to those who put this together! It feels modern and sleek IMO.
To be honest, I like the aesthetics of this site more than MTGS. I was a lurker on MTGS since about 2007ish, didn't really post much.
I like how these boards are set up and I intend to be more active.
